was just sitting here pouring over a first edition of Walt Whitman's Leaves of
Grass. You know, there is no time like
the fall: crisp weather, delightful foliage, and many tasty treats to go along
with it all. Two, to wit:
Apple cider. I
will not lose my respect for you if you say you prefer hot, but I myself am a
cold cider fan. Dunkin' Donuts has just
started serving their fall cider, and they have an excellent rendition, indeed. Mildly sweet, rich and complex, with a slight
spiciness from cinnamon.

At Dunkin', they're called apple orchard donuts. It's a cake donut with a mild apple taste,
thinly coated with sugar.
Between you and me, I enjoy taking apple cider baths
while mashing the donuts all over my face.
