I enter Trader Joe's late afternoon and my heart is lifted, as normal. This is meant to be a serious expedition to get me through the week: meats, vegetables, rice. I already had a lot of fun stuff at home, like Indian parathas, Dunkers, Cookie Butter, etc.
Yet no trip to Trader Joe's is complete without something fun, so I get some gummy bears. The packaging is delightful, and when I open the bag, a most fragrant, pleasantly fruity smell permeates the air. Oh wow! I notice that these gummy bears are made with REAL fruit and vegetable extracts. I love extracts.
I should also note that the friendly cashier spoke of "the greatest burger in the city," from a place called Korzo, which apparently does indeed exist. An investigation is warranted, which I will document in my log...the Captain's log.
