I was at the Vendy Awards this weekend and ate a sickening amount of food. Yet perhaps the most noteworthy thing was a young lady parading around with a walking stick, pictured above. I am not sure I can condone walking sticks in urban areas, and one must wonder what goes through an individual's brain in a situation like this. How much weight is put on how the walking stick will be perceived by the outside world? I think it's very possible that quite a bit of weight is put on this issue. In other words, the person is using a walking stick to elicit some kind of attention. It would be very hard for me to believe that the person - at least in this case, a young, hipsterish-looking female - was not consciously going for some kind of effect.
Anyway, I guess I am now done with this topic.
