The NY Observer has a list of the 10 best pizza places in New York, with the fabled Di Fara's coming in at number 1. I have lived in New York now for over 4 years, and I have had countless slices and pies. Quite frankly, I would say I am the most experienced pizza eater in the city, and on top of that I have immaculate judgment. Therefore, I have decided to create my own list of the 4 best pizza places in New York...
4. Domino's Pizza, 200 E 89th Street. This place has the most authentic Hawaiian pizza I have EVER had. You will think you died and went to heaven.
3. Pizza Hut, 152 West 34th Street. Every pizza here is good, but do yourself a favor and order the Stuffed Crust pie with extra cheese and a double order of pepperoni.
2. Famous Ray's, 465 6th Avenue. This is the place to go for a real New York slice. They don't make them better than this!
1. Subway, 2508 Broadway. It doesn't get any more "New York" than this! I mean, the place is called Subway, and New York City has a subway! And yes, I know this place started out as a submarine hero sandwich shop, but the pizza that they recently started selling is simply the best in New York. For a truly authentic New York pizza-eating experience, I recommend eating this baby with a fork.
