Yesterday

I am sorry about there being no posts yesterday, May 20th. I was called for jury duty. I sat in a big room and watched the Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and then eventually had to answer a 20-page questionnaire. Let's hope I don't end up being picked for this trial, as it is set to last 6 weeks!

For lunch I went to Sophie's, a delightful Cuban place on Chambers Street. I had pernil (roasted pork), yellow rice and tostones (fried green plantains). They have a very tasty green sauce and I applied it liberally to my food. Unfortunately, it was a really crappy day, or else I would have walked to Battery Park and looked at the harbor.

Anyway, that's it.
