When I'm bored or even when I'm not, and I have a newspaper at my disposal, I'll often make a grid-type design within the large block letters that make up the headlines. This is particularly fun and easy to do on a NY Post or NY Daily News, although I must say I'm a Post man, myself.
So I'll create straight lines that run horizontally across the letters, and then I'll draw lines that are diagonal. Basically it looks like this...
Anyway, I don't know why I do this, but I do. I especially enjoy doing it with my green Pilot V5 Precise Pen. So, um, yeah....
