Anyway, they're good pants and I really wanted to salvage them, so I decided to use a pencil to shade in the bleach stains. The results are quite good.

This is a very difficult process that should only be attempted by a pants expert
Almost as good as new The lesson is this: if you have a pair of pants you like (or any other article of clothing for that matter) you should always make an effort to fix any problems that are amendable.
