In my last post I discussed Pirouettes, the wonderful wafer things. Well, I ate them and they were certainly wonderful. And then about a day later I broke out, possibly the worst acne attack of my life. Things are now under control, although my face has a number of horrible blotches that will take weeks to months to go away, if they ever do go away.
Anyway, I'm sure this is ridiculous, but I'm worried that the Pirrouttes were responsible. I learned last week that I am allergic to almonds. This was quite a surprise, for I have always eaten and enjoyed almonds. Anyway, I was tested for food allergies, and supposedly I'm allergic. So I was thinking, perhaps the Pirrouttes (which, as I explained, were the chocolate hazelnut variety) have trace amounts of almonds. And perhaps that somehow led to me breaking out.
This is clearly a silly idea, but I don't know. I went to the grocery store last night and I was going to buy another thing of Pirouettes, but I had to stop. I was concerned I would break out again.
Anyway, here is a picture from a CAT scan I had back in April. It is not one of the detailed cross-sectional images, just a frontal. Enjoy. If you're a radiologist, let me know if you see any problems.
